Special report: Paul McCartney arrives in Japan
Jash Taniguchi sent this report on Paul McCartney's rehearsal at Nippon Budokan:
Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy went cycling in Hibiya Park in Tokyo noon on April 24, the day after the arrival in Japan. The band members and tour staff were seen around The Peninsula Hotel Tokyo.
Merchandise items began to be sold at Nippon Budokan at 2:30 p.m. On the tour official website etc, it was said they would be selling between 14:00 to 20:00, but merchandise items actually started to be sold around 14:30. There were dozens of people lined up after the start of sales, and he indicated there were long lines of people trying to get items.
Paul McCartney, who is opening the tour at Nippon Budokan before 18:00 pm. He waved to fans from the car as he arrived.
Then the rehearsal began. Fans who were outside the venue could hear the rehearsal. He finished before 20:00 (8 p.m.).

Looks like Paul McCartney is planning South American shows
It looks like Paul McCartney is planning to return to South America this year. Writer Mario Adolfo reported today (and relayed to us by Elio Sant'Anna) that plans are in the works for Paul McCartney to perform in Brazil in October in Manaus. Adolfo also reported that El Globo reporter Ancelmo Gois has written that Paul will perform in Brazil for the 50th anniversary of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." The city of Salvador has been mentioned as a possible site. Sant'Anna also tells us a third city, Curitiba, has been mentioned. Paul's reps have been seen in Brazil. McCartney has only announced shows in Japan so far. Stay tuned.
Speaking of "Sgt. Pepper," advance orders for the Super Deluxe 50th anniversary "Sgt. Pepper" sets are still strong. As of today, over a week after they were announced, they are the #4 overall seller on Amazon.com. (By comparison, it's #37 on Amazon.co.uk in Great Britain.)

Big box Beatles 'Sgt. Pepper' still selling strong on Amazon
Pre-orders for the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" sets on Amazon.com have settled down a little from the barn-busting first couple of days, but they are still doing very well and fans are still going for the one with the most content.. The 6-disc Super Deluxe 50th Anniversary set (4 CDs/DVD and Blu-ray) set, while not #1 across the board on Amazon.com, is still, as of April 10, #1 in its Rock CDs and Vinyl category, and #3 in its Music and its Pop CDs and Vinyl categories. Oh, and the price is now down to $128.24, the lowest it's been so far.
The other sets aren't doing so bad for an almost 50-year-old album. The 2-CD set is #24 in Music, #11 in Rock CDs and Vinyl and #23 in Pop CDs and Vinyl. The two-disc Vinyl set is #31 in Music, #17 in Rock CDs and Vinyl and #30 in Pop CDs and Vinyl. Only the single Anniversary Edition CD is way down there at #773 in Music, #450 in Rock CDs and Vinyl and #727 in Pop CDs and Vinyl. By contrast, the Paul McCartney 2-disc version of the new "Flowers in the Dirt" reissue is selling better on Amazon than the 4-disc version.
